Blurbs from the Urbs!

  1. We got our tickets to go to Minnesota this summer!! WOO HOO! The whole family is just so excited. I hope the Kempffers are ready to be invaded. Grandma, here we come!!!
  2. We have a new nephew to meet when we get to Minnesota!! My sis, Carrie Ann and her husband Seth had a little baby boy, Jackson in April.
  3. Sam had a random weird virus that had a lingering fever for 5 days and the doctor sent us for blood work. Thankfully everything was fine but never did I want to slap a nurse so bad! Sorry Erica!
  4. I haven't had a soda in two days!! (neither has Angie, you go girl!)
  5. The Stanley Cup is getting on my nerves because the Penguins haven't scored a goal in two games!!
  6. I'M SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED THAT SCHOOL IS OUT!! I DON'T HAVE TO PACK A LUNCH FOR A FEW MONTHS!!!

Hope you are all well. We love you long time however near or far!!!!!!

BASEBALL!!

So Ben played baseball this year and like the wonderful mother I am......I brought my camera to the last game of the season to capture the memories!! LOL! T-ball was a little bit slow to sit through after soccer for previous seasons but he had fun and they were a cute group of kids for the most part.
Here they are eating pizza for the party after the game.
Sam joined the party too!
Here he is with his coaches and he got a TROPHY! He and Sam were super impressed that he got a trophy!
Go Tigers!!
Silly boys!
They must have really loved each other this day, I should have documented the whole thing with video!
Slugger! With Coach Kempffer at the catcher's position.
Look at Coach Kempffer on the field again. Ben is playing pitcher. He got quite a few outs from that position this year.

Millionaire Celebration

At Ben's school they have a 'Millionaire' challenge where each kid has to read 1 million words in order to qualify. For Ben and the rest of the kindergarteners they calculated that as being 250 books. All of his class made it and I'm almost positive the whole school did but anywho, they got to have a celebration and we all came to be fans of our millionaires. Ben read 1,246 books. There were kids in his class that read more. It was a lot of reading but it truly pays off.
These are his table mates. They are Kunal in the suit and Keandre in the red shirt. And the picture below adds Nitya. They are all sooooo sweet and everytime I am around the school, Keandre hugs me and they all say "Hey, Ben's mom!!!" None of these 4 are in the same class next year but Ben will get to see Nitya when they go to St. Elmo once a week, they will still be in the same class there. Don't you love the variety?? I LOVE IT!!

This is Bradley's family. He is such a sweet kid and the one Ben plays with the most. I've actually let Ben go over to his house to play! GASP!! I truly enjoy Bradley's mom too, she is torn from the same cloth as my family. Is that a saying????
Sam LOVES to go to Ben's school and feel like a big boy. He can't wait to go to this school.

They got to ride in a limo for their celebration.
Here is Ben steppin' out!

They also signed autographs. It was really cute and fun!

Finishing Up Virginia

Sam loved the kitchen and cooked breakfast for me and Dedge while she was getting me addicted to 'Gilmore Girls'. Her and Elle are HUGE fans and had me watching it while I was there. I made it through 3 episodes while I was there then I called and requested the shipment of Seasons of 1 and 2. I'm pathetic!! LOL!

Sam was sooo bummed that the big boys were riding down this hill on their bikes and he didn't get to so he cried the deep breath cry. So Will took him for a one of a kind Calvin and Hobbs wagon ride down this huge hill. Doesn't it look scary? Thank goodness one of the wheels was bent and a little crooked or they would have been flying!

The Buena Vista mountain view.
Ben and the new puppy, Lola. Every time I said her name it was followed with, 'her name was Lola, she was a showgirl'
Will: "Aunt Leanna, get a picture of this so it looks like I'm going to fall". Hee hee!

I know there aren't many pics of Sophie and Grace but I didn't see much of them. Never have you seen two little girls so happy to have another girl their age around. They played whatever they wanted and whenever they wanted. It was great because I know Grace gets bummed sometimes in Georgia being the only girl cousin. Yeah girl power!!
