Blurp

While I'm sitting here blogging I'm watching the weekend countdown on VH1. Anyone else do that? Well I just had a moment of roaring laughter and here is why.

When Angie was last here on vacation a song came on that I had never in my life heard and she was singing these words so fast and clearly and it was such a good groove that I was jealous. Well I just heard it on the countdown, it's Mary J. Blige, Just Fine. Have you heard it? If I tried to sing the fast part I would butcher it but Ang got her groove on to it.

I love the little things that make me laugh! YOU GO GIRL!

Christmas Eve at our house

We hosted Christmas Eve dinner here at our house and I made seafood gumbo. It was a small gathering this year but it made me very happy. We were so happy to have Uncle Willie and Danny here with us because the kids adore them. There were lots of smiles and fun.

This was new socks for Ben and Sam, and do you know what they said simultaneously when they knew they were socks? "HOCKEY SOCKS" Notice the attire, they had to get out of the nice clothes and put on their Cottonmouth attire.
Oh, brother!!

Christmas photo shoot

This was an attempt for us to get a picture to put on a 'Happy New Years' card since I couldn't get it together for Christmas cards. (Sorry everyone) While I think the subjects were great, the photography of Mimi and Leanna just isn't up to par, LOL! I wish Carrie Stroud lived here. Check out her photos at http://carriestroudphotography.com/
If you look closely both boys are crying of laughter. This is what Papa does to them when he starts behaving silly. All he has to do is make a funny face, scream a whoop or do a little dance step and they can't control themselves.
Oh no! Not that candy cane again! How did he get it?

I love Sam's face in this one.

Minnesota Cousins

I'm so excited to blog this entry. My mother-in-law sent me a picture of our nephew and nieces in Minnesota which is rare. I know she doesn't have lots of time to send them to me or to remember to, but we are glad she sent this one. Caleb is such a sweet kid, we always enjoy getting to spend time with him. I can't believe how grown up the girls are now. Ajha and Mazzy are almost the same ages as Ben and Sam. We can't wait to see them again.
