Sam and Sadie

So here is our sweet Sam and Sadie. They need no others, content to play by themselves, might or might not talk to you, it all depends on their 'mood'. My favorite quip of Sadie was when Anna said, hey Sadie and Sadie looked at her and said "NO!"
I remember being totally excited when Sadie talked to me a year ago and then being even MORE excited when she and Sam just had a wonderful time together in the sand at Mimi's and played their hearts out.
Well, I secretly wondered if the "bond" would still be there on this trip. As I'm searching high and low at Indian Rock for Sam and Sadie doing the 'Marco Polo' thing, I run into Elle with her saying, "I think they are right over there." Then as I get closer, I hear Sadie say, "Sam, you're my best friend!"..........GASP!, I looked at Elle and said, did she just say that?? And Elle says, "AWWW, they're gonna be just like me and Zach!" (For those that don't know, Zach is the next to oldest cousin) I just think, WOW the power of the cousins!!
My kids talk about all of their cousins, all the time. We talk a lot about our family and they know each of your states, far and wide. When we put the USA puzzle together they know pieces by, "that's where Savannah and Coo-Coo live", or "here's Grandma and Caleb's state", and when we put Utah in they say "mom, this is where Zach and Max and Tucker, and etc., etc. :} live. It goes on and on! We love you all cousins!!!!

Indian Rock

We went to Indian Rock which was lots of fun. We had to "marco, polo" Sadie and Sam a lot! Those two are a trip and I will give them their own post next.

Fun Fun Fun!

Sam loved this swing! It is a dowel and a rope with just the perfect slope. He got sooo upset when I would make him come in. He loved it.

The Drydens have a great Magnolia to climb. This is Isaac on the way up!

All the boys on the hammock. After this picture above where Ben is limping...his foot turned black and purple. We're still not exactly sure what happened. He was alright though.

CHEESE!

Sorry about the pictures. I was playing with the color and I also read to NEVER use auto focus. That will take away from your perspective. WEll.......I guess my perspective is blurry???
Tips anyone. AHHEEEMM!!

ROAD TRIP!!!

We took a trip up to Virginia for Spring Break. To make a long story really really short, I'll spare details and just say it was me, Ben, Sam, Carson, Isaac and Grace. We missed those that weren't with us terribly but we 'made do'. It was a lot of fun and they were all so good that I would do it again in a heartbeat.
My next few posts will be about our trip through pictures but these are actually in the car. My dear BFF Elsa let us 'layover' at her house so that I would have a break in the drive and we got up and left at 5 in the morning from Charlotte. These pictures are once the kids were up and getting crazy. Who's the clown? Ever the entertaining Isaac. He will be in show business one day!

Above is my personal favorite!!

Air Show

no, that's not a goatee, it's chocolate ice cream!

SCARY!!
Chlostrophobic!! Can you even imagine what our military feels like riding in something like this with enemy fire? It makes me panic, just thinking about it.
Pop goes the weasel!

Owls are SO Cool

This was a day at Oxbow Meadows with Mimi, Papa, and the Sniders.
Funny face picture
I'm really fascinated by owls! I miss the two that used to hang in our neighborhood.
I got to see one at my vet's office too! It's been an owl couple of months.

Doesn't this vulture look like a crazy old bird!!
Screech owls. They were little bitty.
