"It's official, like a referee wit a whistle!"
We are referees!
Yesterday Sam punched Ben right in the face and gave him a bloody nose. His nose bleeds fairly easy but still! Apparently Ben said something like "let's play hockey" and that is why Sam punched him. Yeah, right!
Then tonight Sam is going up for the dunk putting his dirty clothes through the basketball hoop,
........side note: WHY I bought a laundry set up that is a basketball hoop for a chute into the basket that is next to a bed, I have NO idea, call me stupid!!..............
but Ben shoves him mid air into the door that the hoop hangs from. It was the loudest thud and then the cry came. Not for long because Sam is pretty tough but BLOW<>BLOW your whistle!!
Foul on Sam, Foul on Ben!! What is going on? Someone please tell me this is normal. If you have two sons or brothers or grandsons or anything of the sort and this happens with you, please let me know so that I don't feel like we are raising two future members of Fight Club!!

You should ask your husband about brotherly disputes. I've heard some pretty nasty stories about him and Jason growing up!
okay--I have to admit that I think this is awesome. I love a good fight, because seriously, boys will be boys. It's gonna get worse though-- (speaking from someone with 7 brothers:) haha!
You are not giving me much encouragement for the future!! Doug says he is going to throw our 2 downstairs and let them "sort it out" UGH!!!
I grew up with 3 older brothers. I remember hearing about my brother Bob being forced in the dryer by Tim and Joe who are the two oldest of the clan. They forced him in, held the door closed, and turned it on for a few seconds. His shirt had no wrinkles when he came out so he was looking good!
My mother has very few nic nacs that are not held together with some sort of glue. Tim, Joe, and Bob can take ownership of all of the glue usage. They used to have Wrestling matchs in the living room. Full on WWF style wrestling with body slams, submission holds and forced tap outs. This started when they were a little older than Ben and Sam and continued late into high school. Of course I had nothing to do with it and had no involvement what so ever. lol.
As they say boys will be boys. If they weren't doing this I would be concerned. HA HA!!:}
ok i had 2 boys close in age also one of which you are married to. poor jason was used for a human punch bag, karate kick target and battering ram and lived to see adulthood. i sometimes wonder how brothers live but they do. if they are together it is constant fights and apart they wonder what the other is doing. there is no winning in this situation and not a whole lot you can do about it but seperate them when they are fighting and start giving consequences. you have to hit them where it hurts meaning find something they adore and take it away until they can act civil towards each other. i do remember a time jason was about 6 and crying that mick hit him only to discover mick wasn't even home so he was busted. so there are 2 sides to all fights which i then realized. so good luck to you both as boyhood is Looooong...you have only just begun....i do remember saying "they used to be so good!" hahaha love you all
oh by the way i forgot to tell you, i worried all the time about their fighting until i went to kevin and kyle's house who were the same age and discovered my boys were normal brothers. they even had a hole in the bedroom door from one of their heads.
Once Mike and his best friend took Dave and squished his head into a Lazy Boy chair where the seat and back rest meet. They then gave him a wedgie and tucked his feet into said underwear for extra measure. (it is called a 2 footer) Then Mike's mom couldn't get Dave out so she had to just turn the TV so he could see it and wait for Pete to get home from work. The funny thing is Mike has no version of that story where he got punished.
Okay, do I need to remind you of when you gave Erica Ex-lax! Or when we used to play school with Michael and paddle the fool out of each other for smiling! Hmm..those were the times!
